One life to live, it's all about Jessica?

Yesterday's One Life To Live. I couldn't tell you what happened past the Jessica and Natalie scenes  because those are all I watched. Ever since The whole Ford /Tess storyline started I stopped watching unless I knew something was on that I wanted to see because in my opinion Robert Ford needs to die a slow death (preferably starting with Brody beating that crap out of him, but that's just my opinion. ). Anyway Natalie seems to think that Jessica should be okay with her marrying Brody. That she should just go on with life and be happy about it, And I quote:<i>

Jessica: "Great Natalie, have you thought about how this is all going to work out, you know at Thanksgiving and what not. When we're all sitting around the table, Mom, Dad You, and Brody,  and I all holding hands and saying how grateful we are for each other?!"

Natalie: "I would like that!"

And then later after Jessica reminds her that she's an idiot and no one in the family is behind her, and also tosses up that this was her family first Natalie spouts off :

"God, this is all about Jessica"

Yes , idiot. You slept with her fiance, a few times and now want her to accept that you're marrying him? At this point? It kind of is all about Jessica.

The fight proceeds with Jessica reminding Natalie that she wasn't wanted when she first came to town. (I would argue that she's still not wanted since the complete retcon that had to do to dream Natalie into existence after we SAW JESSICA"S BIRTH has always annoyed me. ). Natalie accusing Jess of hiding behind Tess (She did, true fact. Still doesn't make it okay to move on your sister's man though) .Natalie actually mentioning Jared which I don't believe  had happened since the like three weeks they let him mourn her death before they made her all about John again. It concluded with a catfight and Brody pulling Natalie off Jess. All in all? Some good ten minutes of TV.

Now I've never been a Natalie fan, can you tell? I've always been a Jessica fan and I am a huge Jessica/Brody fan. I still think somehow they need to be each other's end game, but given the way they're killing Brody's character to prop up Natalie/John and Ford/Tess/Jess I doubt it'll happen. Thank you OLTL for at least mentioning a few things in the past. That's what I liked about those scenes. That was years worth of anger that Jessica finally got in touch with . They both made some valid points (although,I still think Natalie lives in some strange dream world sometimes) . The best was that both Bree Williamson and Melissa Archer killed it in those scenes!

A first post: What this is all about

Hi, My name is Afton , and I'm a Pop Culture junkie. My head is full of useless knowledge about movies, TV, music, books, and other assorted trivial things that will probably be no use to me in life except to amuse those around me,or win on Jeopardy! someday. I've been contemplating starting a blog for awhile and now here it is. Welcome to The Useless Knowledge in my Head where I plan to chronicle those TV shows, Movies , Books and music that I love. Recaps galore will be posted here, along with random opinions about aforementioned material.

Just for  kicks let's list some of those things. The TV shows I love and am sure to write about? One Tree Hill , Chuck, Hart of Dixie , Covert Affairs, White Collar ,and Royal Pains to name a few. I may also up and blog about old shows I still pull out the DVD's for such as: Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars , Friday Night Lights, and Dawson's Creel. I'm A soap fan and while I don't watch One Life To Live much anymore because I hate that they're ruining a favorite character of mine, I may just write about it anyway, and General Hospital has been a favorite of mine since JR High. Dirty Soap on E! Is my new favorite reality show so expect comments about that.

Movies will be talked about randomly and the book series you may read about here might include: The BabySitters Club and all of the Sweet Valley Series (well, except the Senior Year series because I like to forget that those existed). There may be some Twilight bashing among posts in here, sorry Twi-hards, I can't help it. So here it is: my blog. I hope somewhere along the way I pick up people who actually want to read about some of this stuff.
